THE PERDISWELL SPITFIRE
For many years, a Spitfire plane (Mark 16 LA 198) stood outside the RAF Training Corp centre in Perdiswell.
It was taken away, to "star" in the 1967 film The Battle Of Britain. It was never returned. It ended up in a museum in Glasgow. Many people in Worcester would like to see it back.
It is commemorated by the design of the play area in Perdiswell Park.
We are a group of young people from Tudor Grange Primary Academy Perdiswell. Our school is on the site of the former airfield.
We made this short film about the lives of Spitfire pilots...
